FRÄNKISCHE plants trees for the forest of the future

The rising temperatures and little precipitation of the past years, the longer vegetation periods, and the rise in extreme events require a forest stand change to make the forest fit for the future. The bark beetle has additionally reduced the tree population in the region. Many spruces had to be cut.

Based on a sense of responsibility and duty for the home region, the FRÄNKISCHE family enterprise donated trees for its local forest. Together with the Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald Landesverband Bayern e.V. nature conservation organisation, free forest areas were reforested with more resilient tree species which will be able to handle the forecast climate change better.
